The Storm

A cold wind blows, turning hardened walls to sand. Breaking down the barriers exposing the emotions that were held inside. The pain builds, from hurts buried deep within. Storm clouds roll in dark, cold, and threatening. Thunder rumbles, roars across the darkened land. A voice breaking the spirit: Stupid Ugly Hated Harlot Die... the words echo through the ears. Lightning flashes, shattering the very heavens. Words drift through the mind: Unwanted Nothing No-one Useless Alone... casting shadows of doubt through the soul. The tears fall from the eyes, from a heart broken and battered. Rain pours down from above overflowing, unable to be contained. Then finally as the rage is spent, a calm stillness overtakes the cleansed world. In the arms of a friend peace is found once again. And a voice whispers to the night: "I'm alright..."

I think of all the wayward girls who have spent their virtue and lost all sense of their worth. Only the true, revealed love that you speak about can conquer their broken heart and shattered soul.

I am going to be honest with you. If I would have read this aloud, I would have died because I forgot to breathe... This piece is epic and took me on a rollercoaster ride inside the human spirit. The storm metaphor is just genius! and the ending describes me after I read this... I'm alright.... I literally was drawn into another world by your words. I had flashes and could see the scene you painted. it was frightening amazing! Wow... GREAT WORK... I look forward to more from you
