The Start of a New Day
The blackest of night waits outside
The motionless, dark mountains, silently rest
They wait for the sun to rise, ready to shine too
Inside, the heart beats with each minute
Daylight brings the new beginning it needs
We are so fortunate to be granted light in the dark world
Nature teaches us how to be beautiful
This is a place where we can share a smile like a bouquet
A place where the snow reminds us we can play
Soon, I will be celebrating the start of a new day
