The Stalker Piece Two
The sky is blood red-
He is on the loose again.
He is stalking me-
He's every where I go outside
He sometimes frightens me-
Even though I know he'll be there
Eventually he creeps right up there-
When I was younger I tried to out run him.
Some times I think I did-
I would hide in the trees.
I'd hide in the flock-
Until I was sure he was gone.
I'd peek out to see-
Yes! He's gone!
I feel free, so I run
Happy to finally be alone.
Damn it, but wait-
He's back.
I run in my house-
Lock all the doors.
Stay inside all night
And half the day.
I go out looking for him.
There he is again.
Defeated I go back inside-
Where I silently weep.
But at least I'm alone.
