Sometimes my world falls silent I’m longing to hear your voice So replace dead batteries In my hearing aids! At last I can hear clearly Yearning for those little words You whisper to me each day ... What time’s lunch ready!

A big LOL! You did a dodoitsu justice with your humor. My grandma asked me to change out her batteries…I broke her hearing aid…hear me, I broke her hearing aid!! The next year on revisit, she asked me once again and you better believe I was more careful. Such is life. Congratulations, dear Jan! Love your humor! Fave

Dear Jan, I enjoyed reading this dodoitsu. They say through confusion, laugh, thats what i do, and thats how we stay sane in a world so cold, and this dodoitsu may be fun, but i always believe theres some hidden truth and emotions behind jokes, and i felt the depth of this one so very much. And it is brave of you to write about your personal experiences in a lighthearted manner. I especially love the second one “atlast i can hear” haha! Cute pic too! Thank you for writing. CONGRATULATIONS

I had to laugh when I read your poem, Jan. Hubby Bill wears hearing aids. When he doesn't wear them, he hears absolutely nothing. He continues talking to me, sometimes clueless that he's not hearing my response. I kind of chuckle and point to my ears. He knows that's my signal for "put in your artificial ears" We laugh sometimes. We're quite a pair. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed your poem. Have a pleasant Friday, Sara

Thanks Sara, i have one hearing aid my father mother and sister all had issues with their left ear so it is a family trait. Hubby needs hearing aids, he worked in the media for many years I guess health and safety wasn't so hot back then. I'm hoping his appointment comes through soon. hugs jan xx
