The Silence of Time
The silence of time passing goes unnoticed
in the confusion of the moment
As I hear the internal clock of frustration
tic through the last vestige of reality
fought between science and politics
Where we crossed the Rubicon of unfounded reason
sold to bend the minds of those fighting
to save their crumbling worlds
Attended to by perpetrators of incompetence and deceit
who care more about the safety of their harbor
then the broken dams of a people stunned by it all
Change has come
A different world will be born from this change
it will never again resemble what was
It is then, the silent passing of time will be noticed
in the eyes of its children
as it leaves its echo in the souls of those who survive
twenty...twenty
