The Serpent's Ascent
The ribbon winds, a serpent through the green,
Zigzagging upward where the cool winds blow,
A concrete path where earthly sights convene
With skies above, a panoramic show.
Each curve conceals what lies just up ahead,
A constant shift, a journey unforeseen,
Demanding focus, banishing all dread,
As through the bends the waiting view is gleaned.
Does life itself not mimic this ascent,
With twists and turns that challenge and surprise?
Each sharp incline, a moment to repent
Or celebrate beneath expansive skies.
This winding way, a metaphor we find,
For paths we take, and what we leave behind.
