The Seed of Life

the seed in its warm, moist womb of soil. wiggly worms in the nutritious nest. root and stem wriggle free from their straight jacket act. the sprout frenetically explodes, out of the upper crust, to a torrential shower, followed quickly by a fireball sun. this first day ignites the flaming petals of a wild rose, sans fear of the unknown. eyes on muscular thorns and fiery-red head, sorrowful-souls are strengthened, impassioned. 9/10/2019 Ironic Zink’s Life Poetry Contest
