The Secrets I Could Never Tell

Would you run away if I told you? Would you be afraid if I showed you? Would you tell someone when I leave you? Would you be my friend? If I scared you would you hurt me? If I hurt you would you still love me? If I run away would you find me? Will you keep my secret? Just so you know, if you promise to look out for me will you still tell someone? Just for fun, would you still trust me if I tell someone? Just to remind you, even in the dark places, even when we're the least of friends, would you tell a soul? But even if you earn my trust. Even if you promised to look out for me. Even if you're in the darkest place. I could never tell you. I could never promise you. I can never be your friend, because if I do, I will be telling someone else. Someone I could trust, Someone I could promise, Someone that could see through me and make me say the secrets that I could never tell.
