The road back to you Vs 1 The burden that I bear, is too shameful to share I know I've been unkind, maybe out of my mind Vs 2 The burden that I bear, is too shameful to share The journey I've been on, doesn't take me anywhere Chorus The pain is never ending... for the two of us. Well I know (yes I know, yes I know) that I broke your trust The road that I've been travelling is now broken in two And I cannot seem to find... the road back to you. Beautiful and poignant lyrics, i can almost hear this song, on repeat as i read your words especially that chorus, i loved the lines “ well i know the pain is never ending” ah!! Soul hitting! Sigh! The kind of song i like. Enjoyed reading this

Deeply moving voice to your poem, John. The verses and chorus eloquently speak to the "the road back to you". Splendid lyrics straight from the aching heart. A FAVE for me.

Deeply emotive song lyrics.. I can hear the weeping guitar my friend... when we are heart broken or distant, we search for that road back to love... love this one John
