The Purple Pleasure

Sunny morning--- the last dew drop still clings to a flower a tiny rainbow on its wings--- a busy humming bird the purple pleasure from flower to flower--- dripping nectar breakfast table--- sweet sound and scent filling the air By:kash poet Date: 23rd April 2012

I've read a few more of your Haiku this morning... They are really splendid... Terry (the other one) recommended you as a source of inspiration for (though not limited to) Haiku... I would like to do something like this & Terry has given me the 'ground rules' ... I've tried a couple but :-(( Some 'have it' and some don't... Thanks... Terry

I ASKED MY SIS ABOUT THE PICTURE.. AND HONESTLY I THINK EVERYONE, BUT A FEW MISS READ THE CONTEST PAGE. WHEN SHE SAID USE THE PICTURES. SHE WAS REFERRING,,, TO USE HER PICTURES FOR IDEAS, AND INSPIRATION... LOL... NOT TO USE THEM AND POST A PICTURE.. SHE WAS TALKING TO WRITE ABOUT THE PICTURE.. NOT TO POST HER PICTURES WITH THE CONTEST ENTRY. OH! WELL... WE BOTH SMILED ABOUT IT... YOU POETS DID NOTHING WRONG.. SHE HAS DEEPER TASTE.. THAT IS ALL.. HAVE A LOVELY DAY..PD

Not all of them are "real" haiku by strict definition (I know how you are about haiku!) but WOW, I think they are all amazing, particularly the second one and the last one. These are some of the best I have seen in the contest,Kash. Well done!

Kash, you have such delightful and creatively worded images in your haiku. Your writing skills are growing by leaps and bounds. I especially like the comparison of humming bird wings to tiny rainbows. They DO like that way. This wonderful poem ranks high in my book. Winning wishes for the contest. Love, Carolyn

The season of spring appears to be in full bloom in these beautiful Haikus. The combination of spring and rainbow has made it more lovely and beautiful. Great write my friend. My good wishes for your contest entry and thank you for your kind comments on my new series Poem. I do take pleasure in conveying to those, who have little or no idea about the noteworthy things of our culture. Thank you for your views and support. Love and best wishes....Ravindra....Kash Poet.
