The Power of the Blues

Within the rhythm of the indigo night there was a railroad melody of love that was ripe. It was deep and bluesy to survive the light of day which sought to wash it white complete of the soul which gave it might words and music of a people’s plight that at times was smooth and times contrite yet gave them power to fight for right. 1/15/20

Struggled with a subject for a long time and then I borrowed the subject from an older poem idea and made it a monorhyme. It hurt because I had so many old monorhymes.
