The Pirate Spider Neighbor
The pirate spider does not spin a web.
Does not have to,
For she creeps into the webs of others,
Killing them, and taking over their web.
Possibly eating their young.
No integrity.
Pretending it is her own web,
Which it now is,
Sometimes taking credit for the intricate design
Which she never created.
Pirate spiders, my neighbors’ worst nightmare.
If you happen to live close to one, watch out.
She may have her eye on your web next,
And she comes when you least expect it,
After you befriend her, and babysit her spider-ettes.
No integrity.
So sleep with your eyes open if you can.
