The Other Kind
THE OTHER KIND
When she said I love you
She meant another kind of love
The other kind
Her teasing sweetness
Her helpless blush
Stirred the kind of love I know
Over the months since I came to know
Another kind of love
The other kind
Have I pondered long and passionately
Those conditions and feelings
One must grasp both worldly and spiritually
To understand her anger I cannot
When this shallow soul that I am
Attempted considering the image she
presented to show the kind of love I know
I’ll not now claim to understand her strange sort
of love
When her teasing sweetness
Her helpless blush
Still haunts these many years
