I am enamored by the vivid imagery evoked by the depiction of the barren oak, dear Sara. Your profound ability to observe and articulate is showcased impeccably through this masterfully executed poem.

Do kids climb trees anymore. Probably not due to health and safety.

some parents 'hover' over their kids so they don't climb trees...not true in our neighborhood. Boys, especially, climb the trees and fences. Interesting thought, though. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day, Sara

thank you, kind Shadow. I love oak trees as well...something about their strength. Willow trees seem graceful. They're usually the first ones to obtain their new spring leaves. have a great day...hugs, Sara

good point, Gershon. I have to admit, I sometimes do when I'm out walking...yes, I walk every day even when it's cold (not when it's raining or storming, however) smiles and have a great day, Sara
