The Nothings On the Colour Chart
Amber sunsets streak the sky
Reminiscent of millennia encased in resin
For the patterns across the heavens
Hold fast all that passed through
So we stare in wonder
If not enlightenment
Knowing that we should know
The answers reside above
Whilst colours contrast
Seasons change
And the unexplained
Sits on the tip of our tongue
There we'll be
Staring at the setting sun
At days end but promised another chance
But letting it play out the same
Write my story in stone
I looked but I didn't see
Willingly trapped in amber
It turns out beautifully I'm told
