My mood tells me I have nothing left to say I'll give up poetry Forget it and walk away I can't figure out How trying harder Doesn't make me better Maybe I had limited lines Now I'm empty My mood tells me I have nothing left to say I'll give up poetry Forget it and walk away Stagnation is an ugly word Has that happened to me I can't redirect any which way Facing only a wall of grey Now I'm empty My mood tells me I have nothing left to say I'll give up poetry Forget it and walk away Fed up of checking if it rhymes Checking syllable counts Forget it and walk away *Just a mood on a page

Glad that is fiction. Hahahah I just read what Terry said and I was about to type the same word.. Rubbish.. if it isn't Fiction. Forget all the restrictions and crazy forms of poetry and write the way you feel. You are a terrific poet.

Haha I startled when I read the first 5 words then! Thanks Terry. I'm just frustrated that I don't always understand the rules to follow. Thank you so much for your comment, I never know if many end up getting read then I ponder that in truth it shouldn't matter. Thank you :)

As Paul says, it's a common fail. Trying to bring to the page what we know to be true can be evasive yet obsessive. Relax and flow, that's the way to go. Thanks for posting this piece worth pondering. ~;o)
