The Night Walker
The same path as the last day and the day before,
You’re walking through the night, as if this could
Delete the memory of her radiant face
That never will be close again, just like
Her soul already is so far away.
The silent river is your sole companion.
It does not speak, but asks no questions either.
A pair of slender trees appears from darkness,
They greet you by the wayside like old friends,
And as the moonlight floods the sky you know
That loneliness is worst before the dawn.
