THE NEW YEAR The year is coming to a close Ring in the new, ring out the old But take the time to take a look And have your thoughts read like a book A novel written by the Creator's Hand Filled with facts that will forever stand It's a book filled with good and bad Giving you pleasure or making you sad Now look forward to the coming year You hope it will bring happiness and cheer I'm sure it will, in many ways But there too will come a few sad days We must accept both bitter and sweet And not let heartache cause defeat Let Jesus be your guiding light He'll take on your battles and win the fight If you allow Him complete control He will give you peace within your soul The comfort He gives will relieve your fear And you'll be Blessed with a Happy New Year 29 December 2017 For contest sponsored by Janice Canerdy

Thanks, Gordon. I will just say things are better. A trip to the ER on Christmas Eve night confirmed that I had the flu. I am better, but not yet well. I appreciate your comments, as always. I pray you will have a Blessed and healthy 2018.
