down the river they found him dead, no one to earn family bread, children wept for their dear, dear dad, mother held them close, all she had! time did not stop at their sorrow, Sun set, then a new tomorrow….

So profoundly sad Krish. And your concluding observation is so keen and sharp. Even in the wake of personal tragedy, the world and time keep moving and we with it so often unconnected. Maybe I'm wrong, but my assumption is, as a physician, you have seen this repeatedly. Blessings my friend.

Thanks Line. “The moving finger writes and having writ moves on.. neither your piety nor all your wit can erase or cancel half a word of it”” That is Omar Khayyam referring to fate as the moving finger in his famous Rubaiyat as translated by Edward Fitzgerald
