The Moment After

The Moment After By: Melissa Ann Hardin December 6, 2000 Copyright 2003 Melissa Ann Quartermouse It was the moment after, and I smiled into your eyes. It was the most lovely afternoon when you joined me by my side. The sky was clear and bright with just the barest hint of snow, And with this ring I thee wed we said in hushed and solemn tones. It was the moment after, and you smiled back into my eyes. Two hearts that leaped with joy as family watched nearby. The guests had faded, there were but two, and suddenly I knew. Forever is not so very long, Not when love is true.
