The Lonely River of Tears
From weary roads
Where thoughts escape
A peaceful day
Has gone away
In battle cries
To raise a hand
Where war remains
For he who stands
Shall one day find
A love preserved
Upon sweet hills
Of morning birth
Where hushed
She sits
Comsumed of tears
Her loving soldier
For whom she fears
Has gone away
Through endless nights
In silent thought
She dreams beside
The lonely river
Of tears
