As dusk settles in the snow covered hills, The day’s thoughts settle just the same Special moments of understanding Connections in the quality of time When peace comes with the quietness In the arrival of the end of daylight There is no luring fear of the dark Or negative thoughts that can emerge, In the same oncoming dark way To trust things unseen and to remember The good once shared to be kept, Can make one quickly forget worries That waste energy so quick and easy Because after all, we don’t know What it is tomorrow will bring our way But, we can accept time as a gift Just as the light of the next new day Heidi Sands 2/11/21
