The Joy of Being In Grade School
On warm Autumn days , on a circular rug we sat,
But kids avoided, being near, dearest, "Fat Jack!"
Indeed~he was quite a rotund fellow.
With a tummy that shook like fresh made jello!
I am hoping that we never hurt his feelings.
Such a delight Jack was, that kept us all reeling!
Teacher passed out fresh cookies, just after that.
We snuggled on blankets, purring like contented cats!
