Notes About The Poem

The Jester

With his carefully coiffed, yellow combed over hair
Fake smile and trophy wife, no wonder people stare
This jester is a maniac, in charge of the United States
Making decisions that cause many heated debates
Congress is in turmoil, folks are scared to say a word
This joker is pulling their strings, and it really is absurd
If someone disagrees with him or steps a little out of line
They last as little as ten days. The jester is such a swine
At least Humpty Dumpty wasn’t trying to build a wall
If this jester doesn't shape up, he’s headed for a great fall!
