The Invitation

He sent me an invitation Come; come to him and dine Oh the joy that was mine As I entered into his presence Beholding his lovely face Hearing him invite me To sit a spell; just stay Oh! the hours we are Together; pass so swiftly away I come away rejoicing A new contenance on my face This is something I cannot share It is just for us two Entering into his presence He and I alone can do (I started at 8:49 and ended at 8:58 with corrections.)

and here you are inviting the reader to share in the intimacy that ultimately can't be shared with anyone other than you and your inviter. That's ok though, I'm content to stand in the sidelines as you stare at each other (metaphorically speaking) with those longing warm eyes. I can guess how it feels for each of you, and I don't think I'd be that off the mark;)
