The Heart of a Poet -- Speaks (Part 3)

Disintegrated Red Tears , Create a Black Lake Where my Heart now swims You may Kiss your Bride : I raise HER veil, see the essence of my universe Wrapping my arms around Her; drawing Her closer, We kiss our tongues dance The eyes, ears the depths of my soul ; screaming “Rejoice; our host is Whole I remember Our Wedding Dance a Rhapsody to Eternity, the rest of the day A soporiferous trance I remember the last Beautiful Picture I ever Felt of “ L E N O R E “ My host was standing on the Shuffle-Board Court talking with Mr. Adams His only “FATHER” - in law : Respectfully my host gazes beyond “TO LENORE” Standing by the railing on the main deck a few feet below : He glances and catches THE flash in LENORE’s Green Eyes : the mirrors of HER SOUL a silhouette : Against the Sun standing upon his own reflection Smiling at His smile : I Smile Sending LENORE ‘s Heart a whisper : a LOVE Song; Singing of our FOREVER A Toast to MRS LENORE ELLEN(Adams)JOHNSON The Heartbeat of my SOUL Her eyes bypass me to her Daddy, I nod my appreciation, He nods Saying call me D A D OUR eyes revert to LENORE who raises her glass which flies from her hand: I glimps As a sailing boom sweeps across the main deck Hearing the wails of fear and pain The boom lifts LENORE up and throws Her over the Railing I glance at DAD “FROZEN In that second of time” I tore off my cummerbund tie and my shoes “All HANDS on Deck ALL HANDS ON DECK Man Overboard I start to leap as the arms of a monster puts me in a Bearhug I can’t break through “ Let me go YOU stupid M___er - F___er Please LET ME GO I cried PLEASE

This compelling and heartbreakingly sad. You must have relived this so many times in your memories,,,an act of fate that none could overcome. My heart goes out to you......and sometimes writing is a small salve for a gaping wound of the soul.

I can't believe this really and truly happened to you dear Harry. It is the most tragic scene I have ever witnessed second hand. My love to you and my admiration. Love, Mom

God. let me start by saying.... the beginning of your story here, is most beautiful.the way you express when you feel Lenore.is absolutely astonishing. and if it truly happened this way..here in your ending. The way you describe "monster holding you back" from going in the water. along with pleading. i almost cried.. reading the ending you wrote here, viewing your image, hearing the sounds of your voice. Compelling. .and trembling. on to the next now. -Always&Forever Lynn

MY goodness, this really is taking me by surprise, because I had surmised from earlier chats with you, that you and Lenore had been married a long time?? This is a good cliffhanger here, HG, but I am so sorry if it really happened! lUv, andrea

The whole body, soul, the heart, the mind are about to be united in the holiest of holies matrimony, inside the Sacred Heart of God's marriage of ultimate unity. The carnal mind, the monster, will pervent this if the soul will let it. Sincerely Moses

I'm with Barbara, HG Don't delete, don't stop. As for the form, I am still learning and I don't know. This is heartbreaing, HG. I must ask if this is true, as Sharon said. If it is I am so terribly sorry. All 3 parts of this story are outstanding, HG. Love, Robin

absolutely immersible! literally! and figuratively! I believe dreams have untapped magic also, HG .... this poem ("the category is for others to worry" said Shakespeare) quickens, slows, reflects, screams, rejoices and laments! trully s work of art, HG! (I have a series of poems called "dreamtime:....") have submitted 2 of 'em so far! love dream poetry! love, love, love! Best, Jim

To know this is true, makes it almost unbearable to read. My heart breaks and tears fall as I finish reading this. I wish it never happened, and I cannot imagine how you have dealt with all the pain. With love always, Shar

Sad and poignant, heartwrenching and breath taking. Very great write, I don't think it's prose, I feel it as free verse. Remarkable descriptions like, 'the essence of my universe' 'the mirrors of HER SOUL' 'We kiss our tongues dance' ' I Smile Sending LENORE ‘s Heart a whisper ' Great lines HG, please continue..I'm enthralled...Raul
