Hi Soupers,
I started out with the intention of writing a Rondeau for the contest about poetry. But this is where my muse led me enjoy:-) Alexis
Poetry is words and rhymes on a page,
It's a poet bearing their soul for all to see.
Conveying a message for their reader,
It could be happy or sad.
Poetry can express a powerful message
likened to " What's Going On" by Marvin
Gaye or " I Have A Dream" by Martin
Luther King " or " Imagine" by John
Lennon" or Phenomenal Woman" by
Maya Angelou.
Poetry has the power to heal a broken
heart. I know what poetry can do,because
it was a lifeline to me, when I was broken
and in despair. It healed me and continues
to heal me .
