The Hand of Fate

Crushed under the hand of fate, misery shadows my day. When I looked into your eyes, I knew you had passed away. Remembered memories morphed into long-forgotten fears. And faith began to flounder in a sea of fallen tears. When feelings felt out of place, suspicions began to rise. And yet, ignoring the truth, I failed to say my goodbyes. Death has taken you from me; my world is falling apart. And I don't know what to do; or even worse, where to start.
