The skies are cold and grey today
With winds in constant wayward sway.
A melancholy November
Ushers soon a cold December.
A time to contemplate and write
A poet's view filled with insight
Into a world where dreams come true,
Where hopes are high and sorrows few
There dwells that optimistic hope,
A faith instilled to help us cope,
For in today's reality
If not for faith, insanity
Grows like a weed in garden's keep,
Spreads choking and devours our sleep.
What can a lowly poet do
To grace us with a rainbow's hue?
I meditate and bless the Earth
In gratitude of our Lord's birth
And with each serene breath I take
I know of love that won't forsake.
