The Game of Ego
There was a time, You and I,
Only us, were invincible.
Thought of the world as a myth of lies
Boredom by the thoughts passing through our minds.
There was a time, You and I
sitting in silence, wondering about nothing
but how lucky we were to have one another.
Brighter and lively had things gotten then,
supported by a memory of laughter.
There was a time, You and I,
burried in blissfulness,
thinking about the things which did happen.
Blood rushing down our cheeks as though speaking out our souls.
Although, nothing did any say.
Time had had its share now.
Looking for answers in eachothers eyes had taken ever long.
Beautiful Liars was what we thought of ourselves,
Unable to win over the Game of Ego.
