The Friday Evening Meal

On Friday the evening meal Would cook all afternoon Homemade spaghetti sauce With meatballs made from scratch In the afternoon mom began To make her delicious sauce Cooking slowly on the stove Meatballs would always be made By dinner time it was ready We were eager to enjoy the meal Served with garlic bread cheese It was a tasty meal We all enjoyed the homemade meal

Can't beat spaghetti and meatballs for good soul food. Many of my friends are Italian and their meatballs are to die for. Thin spaghetti is my favorite, followed by a thin linguini, downed with a good dry red wine. Thank you for stopping by to read my humor. / M
