The Fearful Robot
It was to be his crowning glory,
A culmination of years of work,
After years of being told being it couldn't be done,
Or shouldn't be done,
Years of begging for funding,
With many setbacks.
Now it was his turn to silence the doubters,
To be the first to unveil a robot,
Complete with human qualities,
Programmed to deal with anything that mankind,
Could possibly come across,
Yet able to perform at levels never achieved by men or women,
For longer and without mistakes.
The moment had come,
Unveiling now commenced,
World media there to record this once in a lifetime moment,
That would change everything forever,
And make his name immortal.
The words "you are alive now" uttered,
The question "how do you feel?" asked,
The reply "I am afraid of making a mistake" - "Please help me."
