The eyes of Gaza
The eyes of Gaza peek at the torn land
Like a vanished fairy-tale with bursts of
Tragic humor reverberating on Instagram.
It’s not a video-game, the world of warcraft.
Just ask the five year old amputated without anesthetic,
And their ephemeral dream, of hiding under a sheet from
The weight of bombs.
Fixated on the casualty list like a long corridor to the heavens,
Eyes of Gaza transpose, transcend, our ontological limitations,
Like a daybreak into stormy weather deprived of sunshine, the luminous rays of
Hope.
