The Empty Room
To feel forever when tears begin to fall
From yesterday's fading graying gleam
As footsteps shuffle down an empty hall
The dark rooms I pass of silence scream
Tomorrow waits upon a vacant floor
And speaks to no one for there's no one there
Trying to escape when there is no door
Only my head bowed in darkest despair
With its stone etched eyes of torment to cry
From glow lit realms of light, you left behind
When warm lips turned bitter cold with a lie
And left their memory's curse to remind
This dark empty room where nothing is heard
Neither sigh of love or forgiving word
