The Empty Room

Empty spaces contain lingering & want in equal measure, fully occupying jostling for position breathing compromised yet, here with you I feel my space is carved out maybe my initials carved in alongside yours invisible arms wrap around me lift me out of existence, momentarily please check my vital signs I feel sure I'm utterly perfect in this empty room known by you.

Dear DD, a beautifully evocative and emotive poem. I was especially touched by "I feel my space is carved out/maybe my initials carved in/alongside yours" - so very poignant and potently poetic. Congratulations for your win in Craig's contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Is an empty room ever really empty when Dilly Dally is about, most definitely not, you fill it with other stuff beyond spacetime, like latency of the subconscious, and a tangible eerieness that’s not really there, another top poem from you, and a great one for contest, cheers David
