The Dreaded Season

The holidays are over, the new year ahead; a time of the year which I always dread. I dread this time for very good reason; this time I refer to as the dreaded “tax season.” Leisure time ceases as the workload increases; sleep time decreases leaving life in pieces. It’s dark when I leave for work in the morn, and dark when I return leaving me forlorn. I must remove my poetic hat at this time; there are many tall mountains which I must climb. I will don my “green visor” as we CPA’s do, and face the mountain of work to be plowed through. Souper friends will remain in the back of my mind and perhaps a few moments of time I will find to check the site and to read what’s new; in the meantime wish me luck, I ask of you.

You are truly bowing out to the stress of tax season for which commercials aired the day after Christmas. Every year, on the 26th they begin. Such a poetic farewell, but I accept it not, you belong with us, not the IRS lot! Take good care as you despair being overly tired, fried past rare. Will miss you! CayCay

Oh CayCay, you are such a dear sweet friend, thank you for your kind words. And no I don't belong to the IRS!!! I belong to my clients (if I want them to pay me that is). I will be checking in from time to time and I will stop by to say hello. Happy new year my friend. John

Love the title so so clever, sorry you won't be around so much but work comes first not matter how 'taxing' it is. Happy new year John and thanks for all your supportive comments:-) hugs Jan xx

Thank you, Jan, yes, life will be "taxing" for the next few months. When it starts to get too stressful I will come looking for your humorous poems to lighten my day! Thanks for all your support and encouragement. John
