Author's Notes: "The Devil's Black Eyes" is an Ottava Rima Stanza that I completed on December 2, 2017. This one's a specialty write I did on the traditional religious bifurcation between "Good" and "Evil," which in the instance of this poem, means the biblical and historical struggle between actions and intentions of "The Devil" and "Almighty God." The words and images of this stanza speak for themselves in depicting the unholy machinations of the Devil and his Demons vis-a-vis God's promise of holy redemption of lost souls, to also include all souls for that matter, as His Angels prepare to escort them on their Ascension to Heaven. Enjoy the read!! (Gary Bateman - December 2, 2017) (Ottava Rima)
