The Desert Welcome
The desert welcomed my heart.
Dry air spread wide open warmth.
Cascading cliffs lay in the distance.
The sky was filled with a fiery sunset.
I had no specific destination.
I only had a brief place to stay.
It was time for change, again.
Somehow, I would find my way.
Then, I saw the mountains I knew.
A Cross sat on top of the boulders.
I watched the palms sway as I prayed.
I knew everything would be okay.
