The Dark Is Revealing
As night hits the horizon
The sky fades to black
Thoughts race through my head
Their origin taking me aback
Twist bend push pull
Slowly breaking me
Won’t fall into the trap
I am who I want to be
Night reveals true character
The dark concealing the outside lies
I see what you really are
A monster in disguise
When the world is spinning
When you can’t find a grip
It’s always there
Feeding the next guilt trip
Big small short tall
In the end we all matter
So let the past fade away
And the lies of society shatter
