Jan, great poem, things are getting pretty nasty here in Ottawa, Canada, even our Prime Minister and his wife are on a 14 day isolation In my city most schools are closed and libraries and all big events of over 250 people are cancelled, they cancelled the St. Patrick parade, so sad and people are stocking up on t.paper of all things and some churches are closed too _Constance

Our children are terrified at school - many parents have stirred them up royally. I do not know what to think after Boston and Chicago cancelled their St Patrick's Day parades!

For sure Jan. Some are a bit paranoid. The news said to cough into your elbow then also said bump elbows to greet instead of shaking hands or high five. It is a bit ridiculous. I say bowing is the best. I liked your Limerick. It is so sad the effect this virus is having. I have cause to celebrate tho, my preemie granddaughter Cosette now weighs three pounds as of yesterday. She is two weeks old today! Thank you for your prayers my friend. xxoo

Impressive rhyming, I couldn't think of anything for 'virus', and may there be a cure or treatment soon!

The best thing about poetry is, we can find poetry in everything. Jan, you seem to still be awesome as I last remember last. You can still write about any topic. This is one subject, I find in every detail of the day. I look at the screen it's there, media it's there, coughing, touching, hugging, how about just looking. Dang, it came a long way, now it's here in H.Town. Fearmongering is worse than the virus. Enjoyed your write. Linda

Well said, Jan, but if you are looking for laughs, try reading some of Trump's comments about the coronavirus! Aloha! Rico

You have got it in one, an internet pal said her friend's daughter was going to Italy at the weekend, it beggars belief anyone would go to an area where the virus is rampant:-( hugs jan xx
