The Company of Love

To be in the company of love
        For hearts to burst of joy
 No more for shattered recompense  
                                  This brokenhearted toy

To be in the company of love
                  To echo its delight
Away with whispered hopes and dreams
                         That shiver through the night

I long to sizzle in the sun
          For passions’s crush to take me
And in this heart throb of a dream
                              Let nothing ever wake me

When angels pluck the last of strings
                 For hearts to chime of feeling
The company of love I’ll keep
                         Will swell my heart to reeling
