The Colour That Defies - La couleur de tes yeux

VIDEO DESCRIPTION The ballad of a French artist who longs to paint the indescribable—the beautiful delicate, elusive hues of his sightless Lover’s eyes as he endeavours to describe them to her. Haunted by her eyes in the many hues of nature, he’s exasperated that his every brush stroke defies all his attempts to capture their essence. Can he ever capture the beauty of her eyes on his canvas? How does one describe, to a sightless Lover the beautiful colour of her eyes shifting hues and paint them. It makes me realise how fortunate we sighted people are to be able to see. Though, perhaps the sightless have developed that 'Third Eye'. Eyes talk to us. The mood of an eye can swing from love to thinking of memories, or concerns of if your loved one is just making you feel good that day. For the artist. It is difficult to capture entirely, for even the weather can change both the colour and the mood la couleur de tes yeux. A fragile passionate, haunting search to describe his lovers eyes. I have to admit the eyes are a beautiful thing as they are the window to your soul... so a rare and unique colour is always beautiful.. This is a lovely and sensual poem and the video has been made really well with intoxicating eyes.. Ron has done wonders on this one.. Do you every give the young chap any rest? As I told Daniel in the below commentI feel that the Soul has its own colour, a hue beyond sight, a vibration rather than pigment.An unnamed glow, felt more than seen, like the warmth of a memory. Thats what I was going for in my lyrics. Its the colour that denied the artist...Hugs

Hi Maria, this has literally made me cry. How heart stirring and breath taking. We never realize what a great gift we enjoy through our eyesight. Once we are deprived of this eyesight, to what abysmal pit of darkness we will be falling. The man wants to paint the color of his blind beloved's eyes. But he cannot, as he hasn't seen it. He wonders if it has the color of the emerald beyond tree tops or the cobalt he sees beyond cotton clouds. He has no idea and he laments over his incapability. Amazing poem with its haunting melody and its beautiful video recording.

The artist's lover, who has beautiful eyes that defies all his attempts to explain changing hues to her and he is frustrated that he cannot reproduce the colour of her eyes on Canvas. Very beautiful, lovely poetry -- I think, that what we cannot capture, define definitively in nature, why we love a certain other, is the mystery inside and behind all poetry. Were such enchantments easily explained, seen and appreciated in depth for obvious parameters alone...then there would no need for us poets. Our Divine purpose. Though on the surface, artists may seem to have a particular person or subject in mine, we never create without a sense of connection with an infinite universe. C'est magnifique. Since the death of my wife, I never looked at another woman. It is as if I'm blind. Yet I know beyond the eternal, the beauty of a fabulous pair of eyes that I cannot appreciate. Dear Maria, beautiful soul, this is beyond powerful and so well written, well composed, well presented and every word in this really is lyrical and so soul stirring! A mission and a tormented journey to find that illusive pigment that defines his Lovers eyes. pigment of his life. This is an extraordinary dilemma for this French Painter to never having closure in finishing the painting of his beloved and having to deal with his own heartfelt trauma. Ahhh you brought it over. I don't think I understood these were your own lyrics, I thought maybe you did another take on someone else's. Nice to see you do one of your own. Hey Tommy, I would like to confirm that the Lyrics of this Poem are entirely mine, as are the Lyrics of 'Glass Throne'. A friend only did the surreal graphics front frame. Regarding 'Glass Throne' The Lyrics and video are also al mine. I only invited Ink to add to the text of my poem on the page itself, and it has nothing to do with the Lyrics of the video and music.
