The Color of Spring

Spring rides in carrying a vial of green pouring it on the lawn, dribbling it on the garden. Happy and celebratory, St. Patrick's Day is drenched with the color green. The probing sunrays pierce the darkness of the woods. Hidden greens explode. Naturalizers and neutralizers, the shades of green enhance the more vibrant colors of Spring.

Dear Joyce, this is a lovely poem in free verse, but the contest called for humorous rhymes. I posted blogs and updates on the contest, hoping the free verse entries would be rewritten to rhymes. One was, but not the others. Thank you for your participation in the Green Contest and the Easter Series. Love, Carolyn
