The Clerihew is a very specific form of humorous verse typically with the following properties:
It is biographical and usually whimsical showing the subject from an unusual point of view, but hardly ever satirical or obscene.
It has four lines of irregular length for comic effect.
The first line consists solely or almost solely of a well known person's name.
This is not really a good example because as you can see it is not about a person but the form itself. It's just something that went around in my head so I wrote it.
As is usual for me I had to leave the beaten path.
