I love "glass walls blaze in torches raised." At first it reminded me of the twin towers, but with the other descriptions I can picture a sweltering heat. Great job!

You are certainly a poetess of note, such a smouldering creative write - what is happening to our planet - i saw on the news, not sure if it was Columbia, 49.5 degrees , we are certainly to be fried to a frazzle if this continues - your last line is another gem.
