The Chair
I sat in the chair.
I didn't want to be there.
They asked if I wanted anything,
I asked if there would be pain,
Before they began?
My hands sweat,
My ankles cross,
My heart beats so fast,
Not sure I'm going to last!
The chair was grey,
Extended out,
Only the helpers were about!
No one offered to hold my hand,
Caress my head,
Or let me stand!
I sat in the chair,
The helpers walked in.
Offered me water.
Now they'll begin!
I'm at the dentist office today,
I want to run away!
