The Burst of Spring
After a long deep sleep
it comes regular as clockwork
the much awaited annual thaw
we witness the miraculous push
giving birth to primal budding
Pussy willows on branches
winter jasmine creeping myrtle
witch hazel and daffodils
slowly dawn their colors
Surge of energy
in great conspiracy
explodes around us
Earth’s metamorphosis
buzzing about
Spring
