The Bulldozer and Aging Religion
Walking the path I know to be the way
The path in which I was born
There comes a bulldozer
Making me a new way
Ruffling my smooth way, my religion
With flimsy sand of thoughts
and glory
Promising life in death and fulfilment
The new Islam seems brilliant,
luxurious, exotic and rubbish
comes with rejection of
many things, sunnah
My aging Islam, a pleasant
smiles with tolerance
warm accommodation
I stand on a point in the labyrinth
listening to the songs
of both paths
they both sing in a tone
That makes me lost
Of which part to take.
