The Brainstorm of An Imperfect Mind
Her mind was tainted by loss.
Wounded beyond mending;
unable to be restored-
too flawed to be strengthened.
Her intellect was imperfect.
Blemished by the pain she
endured in her youth which
carried into the prime of her
adulthood.
She knew not how to heal herself,
nor how to repair her insecure
mindset that was encompassed
by obscure thoughts that tainted
her every thought.
Brainwaves of agony bestowed
much torment that led to pain
of the physical matter.
She suffered in silence as all the
people she loved were jovial.
They told her time would heal.
EVEN I TOLD HER that bright
days would eventually arrive.
She sought loneliness,
though wept when by herself.
It was evident that nothing on
God’s green earth would be able
to ameliorate her diseased mind.
In the morning she danced with
angels and at night she wrestled
with demons.
Though I was conflicted on how
to bestow hope unto her,
I tried my best.
Brave yet cowardly-
strong yet feeble.
SHE WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN I WILL EVER KNOW.
And…
I never got to say goodbye.
