Wild eyed I wade through reflections, as I unhook from the moon. Branches become nets, become veins, that drape from entangling limbs. Harmless mistakes, underscored a hundredfold, creating cracks in the Earth. My feet still find the pond floor. The water as dangerous as my thoughts - yet I attempt to outrun consciousness' shivering path to darkness. I don't rest on the bank. I hunger for the uncluttered sky, believe I've gone too far in the wrong direction, lost all chance of an effortless existence. The universe matches me step for step, yet, fathomlessly, I repeat this dash again and again. The broken surface spells out SOS, my presence disrupts everything.

Dear DD, its so good to come back and see youv again shared an artwork so magical and dreamy, and has a hint of melancholy in it with the blues and the ambience so gloomy too! You always find such interesting art and that opening really stood out for me especially “ as I unhook from the moon. “ that line! Is just brilliant and the ending too with so many introspective lines! A heartfelt and soul stirring poem this is! “ my presence disrupts everything” sometimes i feel this way! Such a powerful interpretation this is! A new fave for me! For sure! Sending you light always! Pleasure always reading you

You're so kind with your high praise Ink, thank you :) I never know what lines will come, so it's a fun journey to find out myself haha. I've tried a few paintings recently and just didn't get started, I even painted one myself and learnt that I'm not actually very good (untrained anyway lol). Thank you for my welcomed fave. I'm glad you liked it so much x

Your view captures the essence of the painting. It lures and repulses at the same time. Did the artist enter a new dimension?

I don't know very much about this artist but I found this linocut compelling. I have done a little bit of lino cutting myself and it's quite therapeutic :) thank you for your comment
